IMPORTANT NOTICE! As a minimum, always follow the local regulations of the country where you’re working.

Eye protection

Always use approved eye protection when using trimmers or brushcutters. Husqvarna protective glasses are developed to be used with trimmers or brushcutters. These glasses reduce the risk of injuries to the eyes caused by flying objects. Approved protective glasses must comply with the standards ANSI Z87.1 in the US or EN 166 in EU countries.

A visor can be used to further improve the protection of the face, but a visor by itself is not sufficient protection since small objects could enter from below, between the visor and the face.

Hearing protection

Always use hearing protection when using combustion engine powered trimmers and brushcutters to avoid hearing damage.

First-aid kit

For unforeseen accidents, a first aid kit is always helpful. Make sure you always have easy access to one when working out in the field.

Foot protection

Use comfortable, protective shoes with steel cap to protect against flying objects. Shoes or boots with a good grip will reduce the risks of slipping.

Work wear & gloves

Use convenient and comfortable gloves with long sleeves, to minimize the risk of cuts and bruises on your hands.

High-visibility clothing

Clothing that helps increase your visibility (high-viz clothing) is especially important when working alongside roads or in other areas with traffic. The regulations regarding high-viz clothing may vary from country to country, so make sure you always follow local regulations.
