Mount your cutting equipment and guard
When working with a brushcutter, it is of utmost importance to always use the correct cutting equipment, in combination with the right blade guard. Choosing right will help increase safety and is often a direct requirement.
How to mount a blade
The nut must be tightened. Use the spanner in the tool kit, and make sure you wear gloves to protect your hand from injuries. Hold the shaft of the spanner as close to the blade guard as possible. To tighten the nut, turn the spanner in the opposite direction to the direction of rotation (Caution! left- hand thread).
How to mount a trimmer head
Only use the recommended trimmer heads. Smaller machines generally require small trimmer heads and vice versa.
How to refill a trimmer head
IMPORTANT! Always ensure the trimmer cord is wound tightly and evenly around the drum, otherwise the machine will generate harmful vibration.
Types of trimmer line (type/diameter)
Only use the recommended trimmer heads and trimmer lines. These have been tested by the manufacturer to suit a particular engine size. This is especially important when a fully automatic trimmer head is used. Only use the recommended cutting attachment.
